Career and Post Secondary Planning Night Presentation 2024

LDHS School Counseling Office is a tremendous resource for students and parents when it is time to consider post-secondary education decisions.  We encourage students to think about their career direction in order to plan for a post-secondary direction.  Career exploration often determines the difference between Community College, Technical School or 4-year institution.  When planning for any college... consider qualities like campus size, location, programs of study, reputation and "fit".  College admissions counselors are looking for students that are a good fit for their institution and that deserves time and attention on the part of the student through visiting and meeting with admissions reps (when they visit LD or on campus).  The packets below will provide you with additional information about how to make campus visits meaningful, valuable questions to ask along the discovery process and links to financial aid resources.  If you have any other questions about preparing for your future educational plans, please contact your counselor.

CAREER AND COURSE PLANNING GUIDE  provides students with additional information about all of the courses we offer at the high school and how they align to ones' career goals.  Students will receive this guide during the course selection process.
