LDBB Uniform Instructions
LDBB MARCHING BAND - UNIFORM WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Although the wash recommendations listed in the band jackets state dry clean only, please carefully follow the washing instructions listed below.
Always wash bib pants separately from jackets and gauntlets.
- STAIN REMOVAL- Pre-treat stains using any popular non-chlorine stain treatment.
- GARMENT PREPARATION - Before washing, the wings on the jacket shoulders should be flipped up to help prevent creasing the wing during washing. To flip the wings, gently roll the wing with both hands back over the shoulder of the garment. The jacket should then be turned inside out and zipped. This protects the buttons on the garment.
- WASHING - Machine wash in cold water on gentle cycle using standard non-chlorine laundry detergent. Do not bleach.
- DRYING - Bib pants and jackets should be hung to dry immediately after washing. Gauntlets should be laid flat immediately after washing to dry. Do not dry bib pants, jackets or gauntlets in the dryer.
- OVER DYE - If color bleeds onto any white in the jacket, immediately wash jacket again. Do not allow jacket to dry. This should remove the discoloration of the light fabric that may be caused by the overdye of the dark fabric.
- GAUNTLETS - Machine wash in cold water on gentle cycle using standard non-chlorine laundry detergent. Do not bleach.
- JACKET COLLAR INSERTS - Collar inserts can be unsnapped from jacket and washed separately in warm water. Pre-treat stains with any popular stain treatment. Lay flat to dry and snap back into place when both jacket and inserts are dry.
- DINKLES - Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
**If you are not comfortable following the above machine washing instructions above, the uniform may also be dry cleaned.**
