We are heading to WGI Championships in Dayton, OH!
UPDATE! DUE TO THE POTENTIAL FOR INCLEMENT WEATHER AND FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL THE TRAVELING SCHOOLS, WE HAVE MOVED THE START TIME OF THE KIDA SHOW TO 2:00 PM TOMORROW.
LD INDOOR SHOWS
We need your help! Do you and your family have time to volunteer on Saturday, February 24th?
The Falconland show is Saturday, 2/24/24. We will need volunteers starting at 9:30 am to prepare for the Noon show start time.
We are asking ALL BAND students (Concert, Marching and Indoor, Alumni) and their parents and family members to help in some way, either by volunteering or donating supplies for Candy Grams or the Food Café.
Below is the Volunteer Signup Genius link for the show. Please log on and select a shift or two. If you have any questions about the positions or shifts, contact Jr Sholder at ldbandevents@gmail.com. If you need to bring along siblings or children, we request that they be old enough to entertain themselves next to you while you are working.
Volunteers for Falconland 2/24/2024
Food Donations are needed for the Indoor show: Will you consider donating food and/or drinks for our February 24th Indoor Show? We have over 30 groups attending this show. We need items like Canned Soda, Chips, Hot Dogs, and prepared foods, as well as Macaroni, Corn and Cheese.
If you don't want to cook or shop, you can donate money, so we can shop for food.

VOLUNTEER SIGN UPS -
- We are always seeking chaperones and helpers to assist with band activities - watch for details in email updates!
CURRENT FUNDRAISERS - All fundraising Checks or Money Orders (NO CASH) and Forms should be placed in the Booster Filing Cabinet in the HS Band Room.
FUNDRAISER COORDINATORS - The Boosters need PARENT VOLUNTEERS to help run student sales. You will NOT need to handle money - you just need to coordinate with the vendor, help promote the sale, and arrange for delivery/pick-up of the product. It's an easy way to help take some of the load off the Booster officers. Please contact us if you can help coordinate any fundraisers in the future.
CHAPERONE CLEARANCES - Parents interested in chaperoning football games or band trips, or helping with band events that would put them in contact with students, must submit clearances to the LD School District and wear a district-provided Volunteer Badge. Visit the District website for details.
PAYMENTS - Please make payments to the Band Boosters in the form of CHECKS or MONEY ORDERS so that they are traceable and more secure. The Boosters cannot accept cash payments. Payments should be placed in an envelope marked with the student’s name and what it is for. Make checks payable to LDBB and include the order form if necessary. Place the envelopes in the locked filing cabinet in the HS Band Room (when school is in session). BOOSTER MEETINGS - Booster meetings are open to the public, and all band parents are encouraged to attend. Meetings usually start at 6:30 PM in LDHS Room 505 (across from the Band Room). Minutes and Treasurer Reports are posted on this website.
- The next Booster Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 5, 2024 6:30 pm in Room 505.
