Advisory and Homeroom

Advisory Period at LDHS

• After research and consultation, we are implementing a building-wide advisory period every Wednesday for all students and staff. This 22 minute period is positioned between period 3 and 4 with the goal of including all students and staff in conversation and activities that promote awareness of school programs, opportunities, and positive relationships. This is a new, structured process that will foster improved attendance, behavior, and course performance (ABC). Homeroom in Schedules

• Students are assigned a homeroom counselor per grade level, which you will see on your schedule. This is for communication purposes only. This may not be your school counselor. Your school counselor is based on the alphabet:
  • Mr. Espenshade - A-Fi
  • Mr. Martinez - Fl-L
  • Mrs. Beaver - M-Ri
  • Ms. Clancy - Ro-Z
