WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAM
CO-OP/INTERNSHIPS
Co-op:
This is geared to provide students with the opportunity to learn vocational skills and geared to explore work opportunities. Students must obtain work site placements that will enable them to acquire meaningful career related experiences in an atmosphere conducive to learning.
The work experience program is available to senior students who wish to participate in career-related paid on-the-job-training experience on a daily basis. Students must be in good academic standings, consistant attendance record, and on par to meet graduation requirements. Students are required to work a minimum of 15 hours per week and will earn elective credits while still in school full time. Additionally, they are required to submit paystubs weekly. This a part of their grade.
Internship:
This is geared to provide students with the opportunity to work in the field of their choosing. Students much reach out to potential mentors to secure an opportunity.
The co-op program is available to senior students who wish to participate in career-related non-paid on-the-job-training experience on a daily basis. Students must be in good academic standings, consistant attendance record, and on par to meet graduation requirements. Students are required to work a minimum of 10 hours per week and will earn elective credits while still in school full time. Additionally, they are required to submit journals weekly. This a part of their grade.
