Hello, I am Mrs. Becky Cassel.  I am a veteran teacher here at Lower Dauphin High School and spend my time teaching 9th grade science.  I grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan surrounded by the great outdoors and LOVE what I teach.  Those familiar with the U.P. of Michigan may know we are called Yoopers and are surrounded by nature.

  

My educational background is what brought me to Pennsylvania.  I earned a Fine Arts Design degree from Miami University of Ohio and found employment in Harrisburg, PA.  Realizing that was not my calling, I returned to school at Millersville University to obtain my teaching degree in Earth Science.  At that time I was hired by Lower Dauphin School District.  Since then I have received a Master of Science Education degree through Lebanon Valley College and earned my National Board Teacher Certification.  

My family includes my husband Craig Cassel, teacher of Biology and Anatomy here at Lower Dauphin, and my two children, Elliot and Avery, both who have now graduated from Lower Dauphin.  To top off the family we also have 5 chickens, 5 rabbits and of course Henry the Beagle.  

With the advent of 1-1 computer access here at LD, all lesson plans, schedules, homework assignments and other classroom material can be found through the LD Canvas Portal.  As a parent, you can contact the school to be given access to your son or daughter's Canvas account.
