SNHS Officer Responsibilities

 Officers will be referred to as team leaders (not president, vice, etc…).  Each team leader will have 1 month out of the year when they are responsible for maintenance of the Garden of Knowledge.  You must determine a plan of action for garden maintenance.  Garden maintenance varies by season…  Spring = clean-up, mulching & weeding; Summer = weeding and cutting back plants that have already bloomed; Fall = weeding and cutting back all plants. 

Officers / Team leaders will be responsible for contacting team members to organize monthly clean-up.  Each team member will be expected to spend 6 hours working in the garden during their month of responsibility.  Officers will be expected to provide advisors with dates and times that the team plans to work, evidence that work has been done in the garden, and documentation of how many hours each team member worked.

Team leaders will also be responsible for leading the organization for 1 month out of the school year.  This one month will coincide with your Garden Month – unless you have a summer month.  The team leader for June will be responsible for November.  The team leader for July will be responsible for December & February.  The team leader for August will be responsible for January.  In addition to garden maintenance, team leaders are responsible for the following:

1.       Lead our monthly meeting

2.        Notify members of upcoming meetings/events/information

3.       Summarize highlights from your meeting & your month in a Word document that should be sent to Mrs. Koons(dkooons@ldsd.org) and Mrs. Wascovich (cwascovich@ldsd.org)
