Garden maintenance for the Garden of Knowledge – under direction of team leader (6 points)
Science tutoring – teacher or administrator signature (1 point per hour)
Participate in Capitol Area Science Fair – teacher / advisor signature (6 points)
Science classroom assistant (lab prep/clean-up, leading small group learning, etc…) – teacher signature required (1 point per hour)
Enrolled in AP level science course (4 points)
Enrolled in honors level science course (3 points)
Enrolled in PYAP (3 points)
Enrolled in a Science Independent Study (1 point)
Enrolled in Pulse Program – summary of course submitted to advisors. (6 points)
Attending educational lectures on science topics (Med Center, Manada Conservancy, Hawk Mt., etc…) – A brief summary of topic should be submitted to advisors (1 point)
Participation in science competitions/clubs (NOSB, Envirothon, Science Olympiad – science club) – club advisor’s signature required (6 points)
Visit museums of natural history, aquariums, zoos, air & space museums, environmental education locations (Hawk Mt., Wildwood, Ned Smith Science Center), etc… ticket/photograph required (1 pt each)
Volunteering for local organizations in a scientific field (Manada Conservancy, etc…) – organization signature required (1 point per hour)
Participating in science book club (reading book AND attending meeting AND contributing to the discussion) (6 points)
