NEHS Membership Requirements-14350

To attain initial membership: 

1. Attendance at LDHS for the equivalent of one semester
2. Completion of two semesters of English prior to induction (Freshmen may not apply until the start of their Sophomore year)
3. The achievement of a minimum overall and English grade point of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale) prior to induction
4. Completion of the application process
5. Students must demonstrate an interest in the Language Arts, this will be verified by the members of the English Department
To maintain membership:

Mandatory:

1.Attend meetings!!! (If you miss more than 3 meetings throughout the school year without an excuse, you will be subjected to suspension and possible dismissal from the society).
2.Obtain 20 points by the end of the year
3.Pay $10 dues 
4.1 polished written requirement (style and type is up to you)
